18 things I have learned doing my 100-day project that helped me become a better version of myself.

The 100-day challenge as a personal development project.

It is said that the way we do anything in life is the way we do everything. Correcting small things in your daily routine or thinking can bring significant overall changes.

A project like this can shape your thinking and character so that in the end you become a better version of you.

If you haven't read my conclusion on my 100-day project yet, here you can find a short overview of the things I have learned, figured out and understood in the process of doing this challenge, that improved my life in general, allowing me to be more patient, more thoughtful in my actions and more kind and understanding towards myself.

1. Discover and know myself better, find out my fears and limits and learn how to manage them.

2. Getting rid of perfectionism, because it can be mostly in our way of achieving, rather than pushing us forward.

3. Learn to see mistakes as necessary steps in the process of growing.

4. Sometimes we are the only ones seeing mistakes in the thing we have accomplished. So no use of complaining about them.

5. The only person I should compare myself to is yesterday's me.

6. Care about my results, but not that much that I allow it to tear me down if they are not as expected. Tomorrow is also a day. Be happy and grateful instead.

7. Continuous doing pushed me to grow faster.

8. Facing my fears and transforming that into a habit actually made me fearless overtime.

9. Put the process in front of the destination as importance. Goals are important because they set directions, but focusing on the process can bring more benefits. Feel good about simply doing.

10. Appreciate more time and organize it better so I can do more of the things I like.

11. Having patience is a good thing, so cultivate it.

12. Talent must be cultivated, it is not enough to have it. By doing and growing I understood this better.

13. Self-discipline and focus kept me going.

14. Finding a work system can save precious time and create consistency.

15. When you have to accomplish or learn something, think of it as a project. The idea of project itself creates an expectation of a result and a finishing point at a given time so it is more likely that you successfully finish your task.

16. Do things even when you are not in the mood of doing them. You may find out soon after, that your good mood is right back.

17. Don't analyse things too much when it comes to take a decision or you have an opportunity to do something new. Just decide and do that thing. This will free you up from unnecessary stress and a new experience can always teach you something and help you grow.

18. We truly learn through experience. Reading about things is good, it gives you ideas, it expands your horizons but doing and understanding things from a personal experience is something that really helps you to learn your lesson. So start doing whatever you want to do, today!
