My 100-day project of inking floral illustrations

How this project made me not only a better artist, but a better person.

After finishing my project, I started to put together my thoughts and the things I have learned on my 100-day journey. The text ended up being quite long, more precisely seven pages, absolutely could not fit a usual blog post, but I decided to share that too anyway. Find the full conclusion here. Or you can read the shorter version as blogposts.

Bellow find an overview of my conclusion.

The subjects covered in my conclusion

“... I am more patient, more thoughtful in my actions and more kind and understanding towards myself now, that I was before doing this project. It was a complete perspective change for me."

My journey started on the 1st of August with a class I found on Skillshare by Rich Armstrong from Taptapkaboom about the perfect 100-day project. (I really recommend you to check out that class.) Starting my project though was filled with uncertainty because 100 days sounded to be too many... and they are indeed. But finding a simple reason, that could motivate me to start and continue, also finding joy in the process of doing it seemed to be enough.

You will find a short overview of my process of drawing my flowers and the experiments I have made, and how I integrated them into my project in order for them to help me continuously grow.

But as you will discover this project was not only about drawing floral illustrations, I have learned and figured out things that helped me become a better version of me, changing some of my unhelpful believes and habits, understanding my emotions and fears better and learning to manage them, also finding methods on becoming more efficient in my work and everyday life.

How does it sound so far?

Are you thinking of starting your own 100-day project, but you are not sure what that could be or how to start and how to do it? You can find answers to all these questions. I am sharing some ideas on what your project could be, and it doesn't even have to be an art project. And if you figure out your subject and you are ready to start, some ideas on how to make your project more efficient and actually have a better chance to finish it might come in handy.

Read the full conclusion here or read my other articles on this subject.

I hope that you will find some of the ideas useful. Let me know what you think about them.
